Congratulations!
Once you pass your road test, you're almost ready to drive independently. Bring your
documents and visit a
DMV office to
complete the process.
Step 4: Get Your License
License Processing
- Return to the DMV to process your license
- Fee: $22.50
- If you have an instruction permit, it will be hole-punched and returned
- You'll receive an interim paper license
- Your official license will arrive by mail within 10 business days
Insurance Reminder
The examiner will:
- Contact your insurance agent after passing the test
- All licensed drivers in your household must be disclosed
