Step 2: Get Your Instruction Permit
Nevada residents can apply for an instruction permit at age 15½. Anyone under the age of 18 who applies for an instruction permit, driver’s license or driver authorization card must provide the DMV with proof that they meet the minimum Nevada school attendance requirements.
Certification of Attendance (DMV 301) - Valid for 60 days
The applicant must submit a Certification of Attendance (DMV 301) form when applying for an instruction permit. If a student's permit or license is suspended because of truancy, a new DMV 301 must be submitted at the time of reinstating the form.
