NEVADA DMV MAKES DRIVE TEST SCHEDULING EASIER |
WaitWell System offers customers real-time updates and flexible appointment management |
CARSON CITY – The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced that effective August 18, all drive tests will now be scheduled on WaitWell, the agency’s current appointment scheduling system. “I am so thrilled to finally have our drive tests on the WaitWell system,” said Director Tonya Laney. “Ever since our implementation of WaitWell last year, our offices have been operating more smoothly and efficiently, which are great wins for everyone.” Now through WaitWell, customers can conveniently click on one link for any testing office and view available dates and times to test. Additionally, drive test confirmations will be sent via secured text, and users will have the option to cancel or reschedule right from the message. “The old drive test scheduler was an in-house program created years ago,” stated Laney. “The technology is antiquated and doesn’t allow us to make changes based on office needs. In the past, for example, if we had to close our offices for severe weather conditions, we’d have to call every customer that day; now we can text them directly, which is a much easier process.” All offices, except the North Las Vegas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Reno CDL, and Laughlin office, will have drive tests available on WaitWell. All DMV services are appointment-only or can be done online or at a kiosk. |
