DMV EXPANDS ONLINE SERVICES WITH QUICK CARDS

Save time by filing an online application for your driver’s license/ID card

CARSON CITY – The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has launched its most recent transformation product, Quick Cards, which is now available in all offices statewide. Nevadans can now apply for a first-time driver’s license (DL), identification card (ID), instruction permit (IP) or driver authorization card (DAC) online with a DriveNV account.

“Quick cards is just that – a faster way to get your driver’s license or ID card,” said DMV Director Tonya Laney. “Now customers can fill out their application online and cut the time spent waiting in an office in half!”

Quick cards is available for all customers except:

  • Those who are under the age of 18
  • Those who are a seasonal resident
  • Those who require an alternate address/confidential address program exception
  • Those who are seeking a duplicate DL or ID, renewing, or changing an address on an existing Nevada card

Similar to Rapid Registration and Turbo Titles, customers will have to visit an office after completing an application to pay for their card, show required documentation and take a photo. All cards will be mailed to the customer with the address provided.

“This service is just another great example of what can be done online,” said Laney. “We will have more enhancements down the road where an office visit will not be necessary whatsoever!”
