What's Required for DUI Education
Nevada upgraded its DUI education effect in early 2024
12 Hours of Education
All DUI programs must provide at least 12 hours of instruction. This was increased from 8 hours in early 2024 to provide more comprehensive education.
Live, Real-Time Classes
All courses must be taught live (synchronous) by a qualified instructor. This means you'll attend at a scheduled time, whether in-person or online, and interact with your instructor and other students.
Evidence-Based Curriculum
Schools must use proven, research-backed programs that have been shown to effectively reduce repeat DUI offenses.
Trained & Qualified Instructors
All instructors must meet Nevada DMV training standards and be qualified to teach DUI education programs.

These Courses Are Only for DUI Cases
DUI schools do NOT fulfill requirements for regular traffic tickets, demerit points, or general driver training. If you need those services, look for Traffic Safety Schools or Driver Training Schools instead.
