Who is Eligible?
You are eligible for online registration if you meet the following criteria:
- Vehicle Purchased from an Out-of-State Dealer
- Vehicle Purchased from a Private Party or Gifted
- Vehicle Purchased from a Private Party with a Lien Holder
- New Resident
Provide the purchase or sales agreement.
The title must be in the new owner's name. If the title is not in your name, you will need to transfer the title and register the vehicle in person at the Nevada DMV.
Provide the security agreement from the lien holder.
You may use either your valid out-of-state registration or a title in your name.
Please note, you should only start the online application process if you meet the requirements and are able to pay and pick up your plates and registration credentials at one of the pilot offices: East Sahara or Elko.
More offices will be available for payment and plate collection in the coming months.
