NEW DMV FEATURES LET NEVADANS DO MORE ONLINE

This Includes Access to Specialty Plates, Emission Exemptions, and More!

CARSON CITY –The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced today its feature enhancements for Rapid Registration and Turbo Titles, the largest DMV Transformation Effort (DTE) products-to-date, which include specialty plate selection, emission exemptions, trailer registration and more. Both services can be found online on the DriveNV portal.

With the latest product updates, users can now:

  • Request disabled license plates as part of their first-time vehicle registration
  • Request special plate backgrounds during initial online application process
  • Register a trailer when doing so for the first time
  • Add emission exemptions during their first-time personal vehicle registrations
  • Title a vehicle when acquired from a trust, a court order, a transfer on death or as a rebuild

“I am so proud of our progress with Rapid Registration and Turbo Titles,” stated DMV Director, Tonya Laney. “These enhancements will allow an even larger group of Nevadans to use our services – at the convenience of their fingertips! We’re on the right path of accelerating our transformation effort.”

Even with these new product features, customers will still have to make a visit to a DMV office to submit payment and pick up their plates for registration transactions – but not for long.

“Our team is working behind the scenes to give our customers what they want, which is online payment and mail delivery capabilities,” said Laney. “I am excited to announce that this enhancement is coming really soon, which will be a huge win for everyone!”
